Seat room
The seating of the XII feels a little small to me. My tail bone still hurts. On my ride I actually felt better when I slid back and sat partially on the back seat. Of course a sat too high at that point. Can the custom seats that are available be made to allow another 1-2 inches of space for the driver. I believe the back seat can be moved back and I noticed there is an extension to move the trunk back.
God Bless
Bob

Re: Seat room
There is a small metal (kind of squared U shape) lever just under the left side of the rear seat. Lift and slide it back all the way. The trunk slide release is under the rear of it, most likely will be stiff/hard to slide. Just keep working it and it will go.

Re: Seat room
I find the same problem to be true. I have a '92 and not sure if it is the seat being worn out or just the design, but the nose of the seat seems like it angles slightly down which has me riding up close to the false tank unless I have my feet on the highway pegs. I think reshaping the seat so it is more saddle shaped would be more comfortable. I would also agree that the passenger seat needs to move back an inch or two along with installing extenders on the trunk. Also thinning down the passenger backrest would add a little more room when riding two up. Not sure if it can be done but it does seem pretty thick compared to others on other bikes. The ergonomics on this bike are flawed a bit but it is still fun to ride.

Re: Seat room
Marie and I thought the same , until we realized it was US that needed trimming down. We fit fine now
But there are quite a few vendors if you research the subject that will redo seats according to how you want to sit on the bike , they will ask you inseam and have what they need to do your seat up. With winter almost here full force now would be the time to have it redone. I am 6'2" and always feel I could use an 1" to 1.5" up in the saddle. Gene Kap.
