Ordered the Air Wings and they arrived yesterday. Trying to install and not sure that they are the correct brackets for my '97 so I'm waiting for word back from BakerBuilt. But; aside from that, I ordered the uppers with the main wing and just wondering if it would be more beneficial as a "lower" instead of the upper. It appears to me that the upper will actually contribute to air flow in the winter as it will direct air towards the seat because of the gap at the curve in the fairing. Just wondering if any of you have an experience with them and how you have them set up. I think you can just move the "upper" down to the bottom but rather have some input before changing them around.
Thanks,
Charles

Re: Baker Air Wing Question?
On my '86 ( slightly different mount than 87-2003) I installed the Basic AirWings per the instructions and they do deflect a great deal of the airflow when set at almost a 90 degree to the fairing. Presuming they sent you the correct set, I'd follow their guide.

In hot weather it really improves flow to the rider when canted properly.

Re: Baker Air Wing Question?
Just got a call back from them and they are the wrong brackets so they are sending out the right ones. The right brackets will undoubtedly make a difference in the set of the wings so what I was talking about may be moot point when I get the other brackets..
Thanks for the quick reply. And yes, I think they will be really nice in warmer weather.

Re: Baker Air Wing Question?
Beside passenger footrest & a ceebaily windshield w/a vent, probably the best thing I have added to my Voyager. Never thought I would like airwings but I use them more than the vents in the fairing. Now if I can just get the CB radio installed that Pete repaired, I will be set!!!

Re: Baker Air Wing Question?
IMO Progressive rear spring shocks is the best item you can add to the Voyager. Difference in ride is amazing.
Do the front springs at the same time

I respect your opinion and do agree rear progressive shock are up there all the things I mentioned. I did add those AND they are much appreciated by me and the wife.
