WANT TO MORE LITES TO TRUCK AND SADDLE BAGS

I have a 1993 Voyager 1200 and would like to more lites to truck and saddle bags. Anybody know where-how to find parts any pictures would really help me.

I added a 'third brake light' LED bar to the upper trunk of my '93 Voyager. It is wired in parallel to the normal brake lights. Being an LED strip, it draws a few milli-Amps of current (less than one Watt) so it does not strain the electrical system. The light strip is bright, and it has an adjustable/aimable mounting included: both foam tape, and screw holes -- I used both to ensure a secure mounting.

Here is a link to a similar product, from an e-Bay vendor, which is where I found mine. Like I said, the mounting allows the bar to be angled up/down, as desired. By mounting it on the upper half of the trunk, it sits at about eye level for car drivers behind me. I also installed a brake light flasher: on/off, once per second, for five seconds, then on solid.

With regards to the saddlebags, make sure the OEM side lights are working -- mine were burned out. New bulbs solved that issue. If you still want additional lights on the saddlebags, consider more of the light bars I linked to above. They can be mounted on the saddlebags, as well as the trunk. There are other versions of these lights which do not have the aimable mounts -- they mount flush with the surface.

Be sure to apply a dab of RTV Silicone to the hole you will need to drill for the wires to pass through. The RTV Silicone will seal the small holes against water from entering the trunk and the saddlebags, as well as securing the wires against minor pulling. Cheers!
