Clutch overhaul

Post by EZdriver »

I'm getting ready to do an overhaul on my clutch master cylinder and the slave down at the transmission. Can anyone give me a good part number for the overhaul kit I need for both? Thanks in advance!!

I recently bought the kit on amazon and plan on doing the same over the winter.

http://www.amazon.com/All-Balls-Cylinde ... oyager+XII" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.amazon.com/Supply-Master-Cyl ... oyager+XII" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I got the kit for the top,but have'nt ordered one for the lower (slave) yet.
Ron Ayers shows P/N #13231-1057 for the lower.

When I did mine, I didn't find a kit, ended up ordering the parts individually through Ron Ayers from the on-line dealer fiche.

If you disassemble the slave cylinder completely, including removing the slave piston from the cylinder, you'll find the rubber is really swollen and (for me) is impossible to get back in place. So either don't remove the slave piston completely - just wash out the innards with alcohol, or get that slave kit, or be prepared to send the whole (slave) thing to magic hands Carl Leo who can insert the piston back into place. If I'd known there was a kit for $30, I'd've gotten it. But wait! Looks like both those links are mastercyl kits, I mistakenly thought one was slave. The part is Seal-oil, piston 92049-1165
