Carb Leak

Got the bike out the other day to clean it up and had a leak at the first carb on the left side (as you sit on it). Can't see where it is coming from. Anyone go through this before? Do I just need to take it in and have them rebuilt?

Mine sat for 10 years before I bought it and got it up and running. Noticed after a trip to California that 1 and 3 were leaking at the float bowls. Swapped out all the gaskets just in case.

You might try running some Seafoam through it to possibly clean dirt out of the float valves.It does not take much dirt in a float valve to make it flood a carburetor.

I am also having the same problem tried draining and flushing the float bowls and will try the sea foam next before I tear it down. It just started after about 900 miles this spring so I suspect a couple of the floats are sticking.

Sea foam did the trick put in 250ml to a full tank and ran it for about 10 miles and let it cool off started and ran it again no leaks. Probably go thru the carbs this winter as precautionary. I have had very good luck with this stuff in the past and use it in lots of different applications.

Has non alcohol fuel with Seafoam in it.

Well I guess the seafoam was not a fix after all I ended up pulling the carbs and replacing all the float bowl to carb body o rings and that looked after it. Thanks for all the great info on here to get them in and out its no small task but learned lots about the rest of the internals along the way.
