Fender Tail Light (ZG1200-B17)

Ok, it happened. I looked down and now there is a half inch hole punched into my rear fender's lower taillight lens. You know, the one mounted in the back of the fender.
Whattttttt(?????). There isn't any lights there. Well mine does. Two lightbulbs are in there and come on with the the trunk tails.
Can't deal with it now, but will pull and take pictures. Lens has Dot markings (i think), anyone know if there is a stock number for something else that can be made to fit?

Let you know how it goes. Getting ready for a long trip this summer.
I think I backed into my trailer tongue. I had it extended 16" so I could add a cooler rack and I guess I am not used to the difference. I didn't see anything, but was in a hurry to get to work.
Also added some tie downs and a couple more hand rails.
Guess I will learn to not get so close when backing up.

Partzilla apparently is just a middleman. They charged me for the lens, email said would ship Wednesday the 20th and charged Paypal. Got an email this morning saying that part isn't available and will still charge me $5.95 shipping and handling. Lady on the phone (very Indian sounding) says that Paypal was reimbursed in full and that Kawasaki hasn't updated their Listing yet.
Oh well, someone is selling a used one on ebay for twice as much (with light also). Soooo...
guess I will go that route (as every search online lists, then is obsolete/unavailable).

PS. Well, two were on Fleabay and one looked crazed. The other looked in really good shape so bought it (Buy it now). I guess parts are finally getting harder to get.......... Love my bike!!

That's great, but mine is already set up with lights, just the lens has a hole in it (oops).

these lights and lenses were discontinued in 2002, these mail order middlemen do a disservice by not purging the obsolete items from their files. since they can order from kawasaki they have access to the files listing all code 48 (no longer available items)
