Highway footrests (floorboards)

Post by Tonyvdb »

So I picked up and installed these http://www.amazon.com/Emgo-54-48040-Flo ... loorboards floorboards on my crash bars (I also have the cross brace) My question is how is the best way to mount them and is it a concern in corners that they would hit the pavement?

When you mount them, Mount them so they fold back and up so if they do hit they can easily flip out of the way.

Haven't scraped them yet thru some pretty well-leaned curves.

Im tall 6'4 and i find that having them mounted on the bend of the crash bars is not far enough away but if I mount them closer to the front wheel then it feels that my legs are hitting the fairing and its not comfortable? is that incorrect?

If you have the bottom section of the wind deflectors on you might want to remove them
