This one hit me hard...

Accidents like this is the main reason I use a headlight modulator. It's help prevent me from being hit a few times. I'll use anything that can help us be seen better.

I am at a loss for words , and feel angered at the driver that turned into him. It was a year ago I was behind a rider that had a pick up turn in front of us and on my knees he took his last breath. That pain and sorrow will haunt me for the rest of my life. That same pain and sorrow is back and I will miss Ron very much. I can not shake this anger I have today at those that do not see us on the road. Our prayers go out to all that knew Ron and his family. Eugene and Marie Kapuscinski

I have only been a member for a year. But I have lost many friends over the years to this type
of accident . It is always hard and sad at the same time. I can only say this for the friends I have lost and with everybody else's permission to include Ron. Our heats are heavy with sadness at this time of loss . my the lord welcome you with open arm's into his house . God's speed Ron.

Since Wednesday, when I got the news about Ron, I've been sad. Since I met Ron at the Kanab AVA Rally, I've enjoyed his company. Last year NorCal Voyagers went on a ride to Port Townsend, Washington, Ron and Deb hosted a BBQ at there home. This past March, Ron, Deb Trisha and I went skiing in Colorado. I had gotten very close to Ron and his death has really hit me hard.
Chris, from KC, tells about the three losses that the AVA has suffered this year. Each and everyone was important to me and the AVA. So as I ride to Estes Park I'll be thinking of each one of these three AVA members.

So sad to hear of Ron passing in this way. He will be missed by his family and his extended AVA family. The work and dedication he had for the AVA will always be remembered by all who are on this site.

I haven't been on AVA very long, and for some reason I kept calling Ron "Doug". He tolerated it for a long time before correcting me.

So sorry to hear about Ron. I didn't know him well and only exchanged a few emails when he first took over the job of webmaster, but could tell he was an honest and honorable man. Our sincere sympathies to Ron's family.

Ron was one of the good guys around here. Never had the opportunity to meet him in person, but did interact with him a few times here. His presence will be missed.
