Try Progressive Spring shocks in the rear, You'll be amazed at the difference

I weigh 215#, running Dexron V ATF (conventional oil), 7-8 weight equivalent, with Progressive Fork Springs, no air (Progressive HD Springs and airless Shocks, on the rear). I tried 10 weight Fork Oil, but I found it to be too stiff for me. The 7-8 weight ATF is nice, and it is quite affordable, at $6 per quart, at Wal-Mart. If you want synthetic oil, 7-8 weight, go for Dexron VI ATF, full synthetic -- full synthetic oil might last twice as long between changes, and it will only cost $1-$2 more, per quart.

The reason ATF works, is that not only is it a middle-of-the-range viscosity, but it is absolutely stable in viscosity, at any temperature within its working range -- same as the more expensive Fork Oils. Honda used Dexron ATF back in the 1970's: inexpensive, effective, reliable performance. YMMV. Cheers!
