Where does it plug in and what does it do

Suspect the plug you are speaking of is for kicking off the cruise control if you manually close the throttle. I believe the other end comes from a harness that runs on the left side of the bike under the faux tank. If it is that plug and it is disconnected the cruise control will not engage. I had a problem with the carb side of the plug so I jumped the two pins on the mating plug to get my cruise to work.
