Hi, I have a 1993 Voyager XII. This happens occasionally and it is bad when it does. I will park it turn it off. When I start it back, it will not take off. It dies. It acts like it is in a high gear. If I am on a hill, I can get it going but if not, I am stuck. Does anybody have a solution to this problem or what is causing it?
Thanks
Doug

Re: Cycle not having power to take off
Do you downshift to 1st before you come to a stop, then shut it off in 1st? We need to know a little more about the pattern you use when you come up to a stop,so we can better help you.I don't know if something can happen to the shift drum to allow it to go from 1st to 5th,someone else will have to answer that.

Are you sure you are putting your kickstand back up? The bike won't go if it is down.
