brake light question

Are there rear brake lights on the bottom next the turn signals just to the outside of the painted over lens, or are they only on the trunk,
and are unpainted lenses still available for the bottom rear and trunk?

The only brake lights are the two on the trunk. Many of us have added additional brake lights. Installing a third LED brake light is quite common, and easy. Cheers!

On the 86 both upper and lower light bars had lights in them .87 on the lens was painted over.In later models I believe the light socket holes were also removed.
Check on the home page for instructions on how to clean the lenses.
A lot of people are just adding led brake and tail lights now.

Doug, after you strip the paint and get the lower light working & looking good, strip the paint off the trunk light. There's paint on the inside of that lens but worth the effort.

I have a fender brake/tail light from an 86 with the harness to plug it right into the bike wiring harness for sale.
