1196.00 ccm (72.98 cubic inches)
Engine type: In-line four, four-stroke
Power: 97.00 HP (70.8 kW)) @ 7000 RPM
Torque: 11.00 Nm (1.1 kgf-m or 8.1 ft.lbs) @ 5000 RPM
Now THAT would make a nice trike!

Re: gross vehicle weight rating
That shows only 8.1 ft lbs of torque??? I think that may be a misprint,as my Cushman makes that much. Probably more like 81.Having ridden both,I know the VXII has considerably more than the Cushman.hank43 wrote:Lucasind wrote:found these specs : http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/kawasa ... i_1998.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: gross vehicle weight rating
Well for what it's worth you can pull the large side cover off the left side and it will tell you what the max load capacity is and for the rear tire at 45 psi tire inflation it can handle 445 lb and the front tire can handle 445 lb at 31 psi tire inflation.
I'm not sure if this is additional carrying weight in addition to the wet weight of the motorcycle which is right around 795 lb's. So it is either 795 + 900 for a total of 1700 lb's which is pretty high or it is 900 lb's total weight which is pretty low . I don't know any one who owns one of these bikes and weighs 105 lbs's. I hope some one else will weigh in on this with there opinion on what they think.

That's parked torque. Everybody knows that's rated in wrenches....cushman eagle wrote:That shows only 8.1 ft lbs of torque??? I think that may be a misprint,as my Cushman makes that much. Re: gross vehicle weight rating
But that would only work if you'd left the pieces of crap Dunlop 404's installed.....There is no way anyone should bother checking for the mfg's suggestions.Highway Rider wrote:Well for what it's worth you can pull the large side cover off the left side and it will tell you what the max load capacity is and for the rear tire at 45 psi tire inflation it can handle 445 lb and the front tire can handle 445 lb at 31 psi tire inflation.

Re: gross vehicle weight rating
I just looked at my E-3s,the front is rated at 805lbs ,the rear at 908lbs.I found in the operators manual on page 12,the empty weight is listed at 728lbs,and on page 26 the cargo weight is listed at 445lbs,which would add up to 1173lbs GVWR.The specs on the E-3s show they would easily take the requirements of 1173lbs.

Re: gross vehicle weight rating
I've wanted to look this up also because of an article from consumer news so I knew how much weight I can carry. I'm not at home to search the vehicle for markings or check the manual but good numbers are provided here. If the dry weight is 728 and wet weight is 800 then add in the 445 cargo capacity to get the apx total of 1245lbs GVWR. ok fine. I wanted to know the cargo anyway.
I happen to check luggage weight from a trip and it was 100 lbs. I've never had any issues but with luggage and 2 people I was around 525 lbs. Oh boy, over the limit. I don't know anyone personally that has had tire issues or suspension bottomed out causing accidents because of over weight. I do believe that everyone hauling 2 people for vacation is always overweight (including myself). But day rides without luggage will be fine.
So I have learned that I need to go on vacation by myself so I have plenty of weight allowance to bring back trinkets or 2 of us go and all our items must fit the size of a small tank bag. Lets stick with option 1 (right that will go over well)
