Scottals;
it is a standard 1/4" X 20 threads per inch X 3/4" length socket drive cap screw.

I would recommend using a stainless steel 1/4-20 socket head.
Any hardware store should have that

these have a history of breaking the boss from over-tightening. i drill and tap the shaft and put a bolt/washer through the end of the shaft to prevent the shifter from wallowing and loosening the shifter on the spline..

We have a nut and bolt store in town that can match anything you bring in. It was the only way I could restore an old Suzuki GS years ago.

Hello again everyone, back looking for the heal toe shift. I have found the bolts as suggested but when tightened as much as possible it still does not hold the linkage in place. The bottom flanges on the shifter just above the bolt holes is worn away so cannot close tight enough.

I have contacted Kawasaki which told me to call Markland Industries, the manufacturer and eBay without any luck.

Anyone with a shifter for sale or direction please let me know.

Thank you in advance for any and all help. :tho:

The only ideas I have are:
1) perhaps some brass sheet shim stock on the spindle before mounting the shift lever would work.
2) try Carl's method outlined in his July 30th post.
3) drill across and through both sides of the aluminium shifter and the knurled steel spindle it goes onto and install a roll pin/ small bolt, washer and nut. Difficult but can be done. Careful measuring and drill bit alignment must be exercised for this operation.
4) change to a stock toe only shift lever if possible.

That's all I can think of,
good luck,
Dave

Yes there are floor boards and would a toe shifter work with the floor boards?

I did see what Carl suggested, but the shift when tightened is as closed as it gets, so will try inserting something. :tho:
