I have Race tech springs and would not part with them.
What do you want to know.

I am 220 but ride 2 up sometimes
.8 springs with gold cartridge emulators set to 3 turns from light seat and the light springs, also drill the other 2 bleed holes .
1-1/4" preload on the springs. I used the hole peace of spacer material supplied cut in half and faced the ends square no filters.
used ATF for oil 10w.
I swapped out progressives for the race tech and noticed a big difference in handling and ride, they are more money but I feel they are worth it .
I have a set of race tech ordered for the back when I receive them and get them installed I will let you know if they are worth the money, they are considerably more then rear progressives.
any other questions feel free to ask.

Thanks from a "newby" for the specifics. I am taking delivery on Saturday of a 2003 that seems very clean and low miles (44000 km). It has a Superbrace already but stock springs and rear shocks. For the forks, I have been debating whether to just change to Progressive springs or to go all Race-tech...Gold-valves, springs, bushings, super-slick fork oil etc. I am starting to like the Race-Tech path, especially after hearing your results.

I lived with an '87 when it was new, until '91. I did the Superbrace and Progressive springs and my memory seems like it handled really well after that. Better is always better though..... :-)

Please tell how the gold-valves work out in the rear.

I don't see much chatter about the 416 Progressive Air-shocks. Have you tried them?

you will not gain anything with the Progressive air shocks other then spending a lot of money you don't have to.
I have the progressive coil over shocks on the back of both my Voyagers, they are much better ride then the air shocks and less hassle.
