mouse related performance issues
I think i found my problem while removing the carbs. The carb surge box was 1/2 full of mouse debris. The previous owner must have removed a nest from the airbox but didnt bother to clean out what had gotten thru the filter.I have had the airbox off to synch the carbs but all the trash inthe surge box wasnt visible from my vantage point.Im not having much success with posting pics.will do once i sort it out

Re: mouse related performance issues
Some years back I picked up a 1300 that had been sitting for 10 years .
When I pulled the air filter out not only did I find a mouse nest ,but I had a mouse jump out of it .
After a lot of cleaning the bike ran pretty good .

Hope PETA don't picket your house for animal cruelty. Poor mouse is homeless now

PETA can't complain. That Bourgeoisie Mouse was living high off the hog! There are mice starving, out in the cold corn fields, and this fat dude was living like a king inside those carbs... It's just a classic example of redistributing the wealth. Cheers!
