No, it fit just fine with room to spare. The only thing I could not use was the rubber boot but as Ive been using it all this season and no water has gotten in it yet I dont think its a concern.

Ok I'm sold. I've been wanting to try one of the h4 led conversions for the longest time but they just keep changing designs every other week. The good part is that the price has come down a bunch over the last year so it doesn't hurt quite as much experimenting.The latest is what appears to be a ground braid type material used to absorb and radiate heat generated instead of the aluminum heat sink and fan for cooling.We'll see how that works.

Got the lights on my Xmas wish list.
I assume that they are mounted to the crash bar with clamp mounts. Can anyone recommend a clamp mount that will look good without being too costly?

Keep seeing clamp listings for everything from 3/4" all the way to 2"?

I believe the stock bars are 1". I bought a pair of footpedals for my wife's bike and found she actually had 1 1/4" bars on her vulcan, but they fit my Voyager.

I had a similar thought. So I purchased H4 HID bi-xenon light and it immensely improved the vision at night.

I'm installing the 18W 6000k off road lights on the crash bars this winter.

The only problem with lights that bright is when you dim them for oncoming traffic it's like shutting off all your lights .

Those lights are going to be lower on the ground and also angled to the sides to give me a wider view. Especially when I am in the country area where it's all farming. They won't be running all the time.
