Thanks for the kind words. I have been fortunate to have put 123k on this bike with no issues or accidents.
Like I said, I always thought that if I always kept the lids locked that I would never lose one. Makes me wonder what else I've been wrong about!
I'm just glad that the flying lid didn't cause any accidents or hurt anyone.

Re: lost a lid and my cool
After reading this thread I went ahead and put some tethers on mine. Also found a missing acorn nut as well. This was one of those things I had been procrastinating about but after reading about a few more lost lids and the pricing of replacements I made use of one of these past rainy days and got 'er done.
