Voyager XII Pictures

Just as I picked it up 4 weeks ago. Now I can't find the time to work on it. I swear that honey do list grew in 4 weeks! Not bad as a first 'road' bike for a few hundred bucks.

Another new-to-the-forum guy here. Just bought this 1988 XII last week. Problem is, it's in Pennsylvania and I am home in Florida. Bike has 71,000 on it but looks to be near perfect. Runs great and everything works as it should.

This is my second XII. Had an old worn out '86 some years ago.

Lousy phone pic, it is the gold/champagne color and just about as shiny as the day it was new:

It's getting cold in the evenings' down to 45 last night and chilly until about 10 am .

Yep, I know about those chilly evenings. Was camping up there last week. Would love to ride it home but I don't have a lot of faith in the tires. There is plenty of tread but they've got a few years on them and are kind of slippery on wet roads.

Bought the bike in York and left it in Littlestown at my brother's house 'til I can get up there with the trailer in a few weeks.

Finally got the ole bike home a couple weeks ago. Gave it a once over, changed the oil, let some air out of the tires, put some air in the shocks and the forks and away we go!
There's a bit of crud in the carbs as expected but a dose of that black magic, AKA Techron, is doing it's job.
I haven't cleaned anything but the windshield and the mirrors. Pictures show the bike just as I got it. I didn't get the great deal some have, but I'm happy!

I gotta say to all of the early 1200 owners, the 1200 is one of the best touring bikes I have ever seen. Wish I could find a "find" such as this in California for that price!

Wonder how the 1200 trikes out? anyone have a 1200 trike?
