You do know,Highway Rider,if you divide 1613 miles by 24 you averaged 67 MPH,which means you were speeding ,somewhere. :corn:  :gig: :rolling:
Not necessarily; most of the trip could be done on I-80 and the speed limit is 75 in most parts of Nebraska and probably the same or maybe higher in most of the other states.

Yes the ride was done on I-80 and most of the speed limits on that route are 75 mph. But I will admit that I was running 2mph over the posted limit. The only way to really save time is the time that you spend during fuel stops. All of my stops were under 10 minutes.
The actually time was 23.5 hours and 1613 miles so that figures out to be and average of 68.64 miles per hour.
There was also one leg of the ride that I had to back the speed down to 55 for 30 some miles so I would not run out of fuel. When I fueled up it took 5.8 gallons, now that was to close for comfort. Just to do 1500 in 24 hours you have to average 62.5 mph.

My daily commute to and from work is 108 miles per day, sometimes 5 or 6 days a week. I normally won't ride if the roads are wet or icy.
