Many guys are probably like me, chrome is nice for show but it don't help make it go , so it's not worth the added expense.

When I bought a different XII this summer, all the extra chrome stuff was a priority for me. So I bought one that was covered in it.......

I have since discovered it just makes cleaning take much longer. If I buy another XII it will only have the bag and vent trim chromed. I can do without the rest.

That one has a Corbin seat....I've heard those are very firm compared to the stock seat...for better or worse?

Chrome, meh... I just want a XII that hasn't been overly molested. If Mother Kaw put chrome there, fine, I won't be adding to chrome for chrome's sake.

Guess that makes me chromophobic

I tried a Corbin seat, It was VERY hard & uncomfortable. Terrible
I then sold it & bought a Russell Day long seat- Excellent seat!
