A personal Christmas first

Post by Neal »

With the above average temps and some sunshine finally arriving, I decided to take the Voyager for the trip to Christmas lunch with my Mother. The home is only 22 miles, so it won't be too far at about 39 degrees.... What a great ride it was......
On the way home coming to the only big intersection I decided I might as well take the long way home. Making a right was just as easy as continuing straight...
No sense stopping at the first town, I continued to the second. Then left to the next where another left put me on the circular route home.
Arriving home with 119 miles showing on the tripmeter didn't count the additional smiles from within. Or the enthusiastic Merry Christmas waves and 'salutes' I got on the way.
Finally home, I decided to go ahead and cleanup a bit...getting the last wash for the year before storing.
Never have done this before here in the 'Middle of the Mitten' but it sure felt GREAT ! ! ! !
:woohoo:
Merry Christmas to all

I hope you hugged your mom tight Neal. I lost my dear mother earlier this year and also lost my dear mother in law a month earlier. This Christmas as much as I tried I just couldn't get into the Christmas spirit. I suppose over time that will change. For all of you who still have your parents. Appreciate them, love them. Let them know what they mean to you. Time is not on our side to do otherwise. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. To everyone I hope the next year is better than this one was. I know for me it has to be.
