This forum seems to be the domain of mainly those who like to simply ride and go to others to help them fix their rides. That's OK, but not when some can't accept experience from others without getting their nose bent out of shape. Especially when nothing was directed at them personally!
I prefer to leave the past in the past and move on, but there are other reasons why I don't belong here.
The new section "Look What I DID" sure is a waste on this forum! It's like "Casting pearls before swine!", as the old saying goes! With the exception of a very few, nobody here really does much except basic maintenance! Tony and Gene, you KNOW I'm not talking about the two of you!
BTW, there will soon be a vacancy at the Super 8 Motel for the rally as soon as I cancel mine. I think I will attend the Sidecarist rally this year!
I'll see a couple of you on other sites!

Really sorry you feel that way.You will be greatly missed both on this forum and in Hurley.
I always look forward to reading what you have to say.
I am one of those who fit in the category of "If it's nice enough to work on the bike ,I'm going for a ride"
It's people like you who help people like me keep their bikes running , Cause with little maintenance ,sooner than later my bike will break down while your out enjoying the ride .
Please reconsider and hang out with us for awhile.

Sorry you feel the need to leave but it's your decision. I'm one of those who looks to the forum for assistance to help me keep the bikes going and appreciate any help I can get. I didn't really know that this was a problem. I'm not sure what set you off but I hope that you reconsider staying....

Basic Maintenance is all that's needed on the 1200 Voyager. Rare that there's problems beyond that.

truth is that there few riders among us who have the knowledge, tools and courage to take on the advanced custom fabrication that you and a select few others on this forum under take. Those of us who are lucky enough to enjoy riding but want to maintain and do small upgrades to our bikes, really look up to the select few of you with the real knowledge for help with whatever project, big or small that we may be taking on. To us, having someone with your abilities to lean on gives us the confidence to try new and more difficult things. I get that this sight might not be as advanced as what you may be looking for, but having you here is doing the rest of us a great service even if only to see the wonderful project that you put together. It gives us something to push towards. Watching someone of your abilities shows me what I don't know, and I'm learning from you guys all the time. You have to do what you have to do, but I hope to see more from you in the future. thanks for being an inspiration.

I am 80 and do well just to keep our trike in good running order. I would like to add my support to those asking you to stick around. I have always been a pretty fair back yard mechanic and do the majority of my own work and really admire your engineering skills in the work that you have been showing us. I always look forward to seeing the progress that you have shown us on the Web Page and would hate to see you leave just because one person got their tail in a knot regarding some accurate first hand knowledge that you were willing to share with the group.
