I saw this on craiglist and I thought Trikebuilder might like to see another combo unit.

:tho: :cry2:

Oh, you're killing me! And, with only 19k miles the bike alone would be worth the $4500 price (possibly lower!). It's obviously been well kept and stored.
If one of you who have ever considered a sidecar rig doesn't jump on this, YOU'RE NUTS! If I had the funds I sure would, even with two already! Anybody want to make me a low-interest, long-term loan?

Thanks, anyway, for posting this one, Dave! I'm seeing more and more 1300's as tugs. This one is one of the best examples, though.

That is one clean machine. I bet the sidecar alone is worth the $4500.

Exactly! I replied to the guy's ad and told him to stick to his asking price and to be careful to find somebody worthy of the rig to take care of it. And, for such a low miles bike with perfect paint, it's also worth almost his asking price.

Come on, Jensee, you NEED this rig! No more issues with holding the bike up anymore! Feet on the pegs all the time!

PLEASE, SOMEBODY BUY THIS RIG! Or, loan me the money to buy it!

I just looked this sidecar up on DMC Sidecars. It lists for $6495, base price, and just from what I see as extras on it, there is another $125 for carpeted trunk, $405 for the black convertible top and another $750 for the electric tilt suspension! That totals $7775 to buy the same car new today! I suspect there are several other smaller additions like lighted interior, stereo speakers, lighted trunk, etc. that this car has that the seller didn't mention. This is most likely an $8000+ car today. So, that $4500 price for the whole rig is awfully good looking!

Tony, apparently you haven't paid attention on the KZ1300 site! Caddypat has a 1300 with a Motorvation Formula II sidecar, all nicely color-matched. I took my inspiration for my sidecar mounts from his pictures of how his was mounted. There are about five more around the country that I know of, and bound to be a lot more.
My gut is just twisted into knots thinking about how some idiot might buy this rig and then let it sit out and waste away after it has survived this long in such perfect shape!
Don't you think that Pam might like to ride in one of these?

 ...I must admit, before you came around ,I never gave a sidecar bike a second thought !
This one truly is a great bike at a great price, but as you know I am clearin' em out, and I really like the new found space I now have after letting a half dozen go from the stable !

Half a dozen??? Then that just proves that you have room for this rig. It only takes up the space of two bikes! I KNOW you won't ride this often, so just push it back into a corner and throw a good cover over it. Once in a while take the missus out to a nice dinner on it! With my first rig I took my first wife out to a really fancy dinner, all dressed up. When we got to the valet, I told him to jump in and I drove it to where he directed me. He wanted the keys, but I told him absolutely not! I still gave him his tip, but NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY, rides my sidecar rigs anymore. I've had two of them crashed letting friends try them.
I have also done a lot of parades with mine, as well as going to hospitals' childrens' wards and giving parking lot rides. Done three "Make-A-Wish" rides, too.
So, like I told John Diel (AVA member!) when you no longer feel good trying to hold up a big bike, just remember you COULD have had this really nice rig to keep your feet on the pegs all the time! Also remember that flat front tires don't usually drop a sidecar rig like they do on a bike! Ice? No problem!
Just think about all the nice, warm summer evenings when you and Pam, and even a friend, could just go putt around the town showing off your rig! Come on now, you do have a bit of showman in you, don't you? Load it with lights and a good sound system, too!

So, to get them flowing more and faster so he buys it, I wonder which would add more juice to him;.....jack Daniels, or Jose Cuervo?

The reason I don't have a trailer is that I have absolutely no place to store one under a roof. I got a one car garage that my Voyager shares with the wife's Santa Fe. Besides the government left me flat broke this year after taxes. Amazing that the guy is asking for such a price. I paid $5750 for my bike way back in 2008. I hope somebody with class snatches it up.
