Puff of white smoke from right Kawasaki cover beside brake

Post by Ferroussphinx »

I was revving the engine with my alternator tester because I went out today to start the bike and the battery was dead...first time I tried since the rain ride and my alternator pushes to 13.6 is that good ? Anyway battery wasn't fully charged yet..I'm impatient ...but I noticed a puff or two of white smoke coming from the cover ...any help...would be great...

My thoughts are water was possibly in there still or I fried something ...any help is greatly appreciated

It could be water vaporizing off the alternator :please: .Did you notice a smell of burned wiring,if not I would continue to monitor the voltage of the battery.13.6 volts at the battery is within reason and nothing to be concerned with if it stays there with the engine running.
