I ended up riding in the snow this past week as I did my Moonshine Curt Gran Memorial Saddlesore. Myself and my friend Nick rode through a blizzard like condition with freezing rain and snow and eventually made it home . Did 1321 miles in 20 hours. Very cold conditions , so be safe if it's snowing.

We went to the BBQ lunch at noon and then stopped by the Roadhouse to pick up tickets and found Kim there was there getting his ticket for the awards dinner tonight. He had his 93 Voyager in the parking lot and I got some pictures.

It is cold here with on and off rain, we have seen hundreds of bikes of all types.

Tomorrow sunny but in the 40s. :cold:

Thanks for thinking about us as when I left this morning I was a balmy 36 degrees and on the 475 mile ride it did not get above 46. But with the heated gear it really was not to bad. Did run into a few snow squals though.

You got to love it :gig: :gig:

Nice video Jim, seems like the turnout was not as large as last years.

My first Moonshine Lunch run but I thought the turnout was huge considering below freezing temps. I'm guessing high hundreds at least. Bikes lined up way back on all roads to Moonshine Store. We had to walk quite a ways to Moonshine Store.

Hope everyone made it home ok. I drove thru rain in low 40s all the way home. But that is what Moonshine is all about. Got home early afternoon.

Neal had an incident coming to Moonshine. I'll let him tell what happened. Sorry about your bike Neal but I've seen worse and it will be whole again.

Yeah, the numbers were down, I think. But still fun! Got home around 1pm. Rick and I ran into about 15 minutes of ran and then half and hour of wet roads after, but the temps were much better than Friday or yesterday. Also, you may be happy to know, that most (not all), but most of last year's bugs on the front of my Voyager are now gone due to the rain. See, it all works out. :gig:

This was my first time also and I had a good time. It was net to see all the bikes of different types and from all over the country meeting up in the middle of nowhere for a burger. Oh but there is more to it then just the burger it has to do with mingling with the other bikers and swapping stories about there adventures.
I arrived at home around 11:30 am Sunday morning Yep when I left it was 39 degrees and when I arrived at home after 475 miles it had risen to 59 degrees. There were spotty rain showers also.

So the question is would I do it again and my answer to that is yes. Already thinking about next year.

You're probably right, Kim. They posted on the Moonshine-Run website that they sold just under 1600 hamburgers. I think last year was 3000???? So, yeah. Definitely lower numbers. That's ok. More for me! :gig:
