Re: I did it
Thanks, so far so good whole different riding style and position than the Kawai concours but I love it. More heavy more comfy. This bike likes the miles I can see longer trip ahead

Re: I did it
Yes . the riding position may take a minute to get used to , It sure is a nice looking bike !

After watching this video, it makes me want to go find one that I can go test ride !
The color choices are VERY limited, please choose (black, black or black)
I don't really want to spend that kind of money on another bike ,so I will likely be looking for a cream puff that may be just a few years old !

Re: I did it
Second day156 miles and lost the antenna. First thing I did was lock tight it and add a lock washer. Which I learned, from the forum,oh well I don't listen to the radio anyway but still kinda peeves me off.bike rides great

Re: I did it
You might try complaining to your dealer. They are supposed to get things properly set up and checked out. Some people have said that their dealers made good on a loose antenna - replaced it under warrantee(?). Others have not been so lucky but it is worth a try.

Re: I did it
?? are you saying that you were aware that it fell off , and turned around to go retrieve it ? and got the original back ...or had to go buy another antenna ? I guess I would be a bit peeved too !Scooterkawai1 wrote:Second day156 miles and lost the antenna. First thing I did was lock tight it and add a lock washer. Re: I did it
I did lock tight when I bought it and still lost it. I did not try to find it as I was about 80 miles into a ride when I pulled over and noticed it gone I have no idea when it came off.

Re: I did it
Antennas falling off brand new? Have you checked to see if this thing wasn't made in China? The old Voyager XII was built in the good old USA.

Re: I did it
Unfortunately it's the nature of the beast on V-twin powered bikes,
was watching my buddies HD idling last week and the front wheel was ready to hop up and down off the ground, after I looked closely at the front fender I pointed out to him that the metal around the mounting points was cracked in two places. Rubber mounting of the engine, and counter balancing systems help, but still throw off quite a bit of vibration. Likely the location of the antenna is highly affected by the vibration if so many are falling off ! I don't care, when the right deal presents itself ... I'm still gonna buy one !..........................Tony

Re: I did it
Just go get you one. Kawai has a good rebate right now,and if you have a good dealer you should get a great price. I picked up the 3 year extended warranty on mine also.

Re: I did it
Yeah Tony. And if you act fast enough on this. You might be able to offer that one up to Gene as well.
