Throttle cable - `88 Voyager

Post by Stoogefan »

Afternoon all ..... I'm on a hunt.
A few days ago, the close throttle cable on my Voyager let go, and i'll be damned if I can find a replacement. Why would Kawi deem such a necessary part obsolete ? Grrr.....
I ordered a so-called compatible one online, and when I went to install it today, I come to find out it is the wrong one.

Anyone have one hanging in the garage ? LOL

You've got a REAL problem there! Since yours has the cruise control, its cables are totally different than the '83-'86 years. Motion Pro makes cables for most bikes, but not for the '87-'88 Voyagers.
FWIW, some bike dealers have the equipment to make up custom cables. The "machine" can make up any type of end on a generic cable once it is sized.
Otherwise, you might look on eBay.
