Well, I've got fork oil coming out of the air nozzle, so action is necessary, so I found a local mechanic with a stellar rep who's ready, willing and able, so I'm ordering the required Progressive set (less than $80 on Amazon) and just need to know if anybody has had better results with a certain seal set than others? Are there any full seal change-out sets that include everything that you can buy?

i like the all-balls seal kit, it can be obtained on ebay.....its all i use in my workshop.

Hope you aren't having to pay the mechanic a lot. Changing fork seals is involved but not difficult and there are lots of videos on YouTube that show you step by step. Good luck and let us know the results.

He's quoted me a couple of hours of shop time, I'm going to give him a couple of hundred bucks...well worth it for me not to have an opportunity to screw them up royally, believe me...

Yep, seems to be the forum standard, and after getting the back shox done it appears that everybody knows what they're talking about (never had a doubt, of course!), so I'm plowing on with the recognized fix for the front end...if it turns out as good as the back end did my suspension needs will be totally finished, so I can get started on enjoying the ride!

I love this motor, and I think I can start nibbling on getting it running perfect to get the mpg up where they should be from reading everybody else's experiences, only getting about 34 mpg right now, hearing that most everybody gets over 40...this mechanic I've found comes highly recommended, going to have him balance the carbs next after the forks...

45-50mpg is highway driving. In the city it's closer to 35mpg

My last machine was a ZRX1100 Kawasaki. I was also an in-line 4 and I fell in love with Kawasaki motorcycles then. Before that I had had Yamahas, Hondas and a Suzuki. But after the ZRX I had no hesitation about the purchase of the Voyager. It to has a wonderful engine. Kawasaki knows how to make engines.

Totally agree, I'm coming from a Kaw Concours C10, loved that bike but getting on in years and the hand buzz was really starting to hurt, decided to look for easier-riding machines...I've never bought into the Harley hype, and vibration was what I was trying to get away from anyway, so it came down to the Yamaha Venture and the Kaw Voyager, and I test-rode both, and although they were similar, the Voyager was immediately familiar to me, lots of similarities coming from the C10...
The Concours is going up for sale as soon as I replace the cracked front fender and install the block-off plates for the valve cover....
