I took care of the lighthouse for year at Umpqua River Station in Reedsport, OR while I was in the Coast Guard. Those things are so labor intensive to maintain! Constantly wiping them down, lubing all the equipment so it rotates smoothly, wiping down the walls, scraping, repainting, polishing brass, cleaning lenses. Loved it, though!Lucasind wrote:This ol' lighthouse has been here nearly two hundred years now. You can go up to the top and the guide tells ya about the history of it ,and the area.
