Oil leak on left side/bottom/rear of motor above exhaust
I seem to have one, any hints on past experience? Just got the scoot, it is over full on oil, need to change it
and put in the correct amount, don't know why that would make it leak... It seems to leak on the road at
speed, and drip after running, doesn't seem to leak while sitting.... Thoughts? TIA

If the crankcase is over filled it can increase internal pressures and push oil out past the seals. To be sure and you have never changed the oil, I would suggest you do so and put in the proper amount. Including a filter change it will take 3 quarts and 22 ounces.

Thanks Carl!!! I'll talk to my wrench about it and see what he thinks about the job / amount of work it involves / time!

Re: Oil leak on left side/bottom/rear of motor above exhaust
..would like a little help Carl Leo... I can order 92049-1416 from Ron Ayers, 6 bucks, is this the same as the kit you send? Do I need to type to you? Seems to be a common problem, not a mechanic but will pay my wrench to do it and hope it will be done right. Until then.... as I'm apt to say, oil is cheap, messy but cheap...
Being a new to me scoot, I have a lot to do to make it mine, some fixes, brakes, tires, etc... the oil leak will be soon!!!! I want to keep this scoot for a long time so an investment is in order!!! Much appreciate your help!!!

If you are not aware, there are 2 drain plugs, plus the oil filter, to drain the oil.The drain plugs are torqued to 22 ft lbs making sure the sealing washers are on them, and the filter is torqued to 14.5 ft lbs.

Re: Oil leak on left side/bottom/rear of motor above exhaust
Bottom of pan is dry, as it sits on the kickstand, center stand is corroded in place, that's next too,
and the oil I see is on left side of motor. Thanks!
I've read on how to do the oil and both drains, I need to get the center stand freed up, doing that while
replacing vibrating final drive...

There are replacement center stands on ebay all the time. Check there frequently.
