congrats. My bike came with all that glitz on it. I like the look of a clean bike but I know it means complete paint job to remove it. We want a photo when it's installed. show us your efforts.

The fender brace lights are self grounding via the small ring terminal that one of the lense screws pass through.
They can be powered from any of the key switched 12 Volt lights/accessory connectors.
I have the fork leg lights and the brace lights powered by the factory spare connectors behind the headlight. Some splice into a marker light wire.

yes this is exactly as mine are wired. pretty straight forward and basic.

Good to know. I think I know exactly what bullet connectors you are talking about. I was aware that the mounting brackets for the brace was grounded. Has anyone changed out the lights with LED's?

Yes I changed the T-10s out with a side discharge, amber, led T-10 replacement. The ones I used were in the shape of the letter "T" and were tall enough so that the leds were at the center line of the lens.
I tried to find the supplier but no luck. I will keep looking and if I find the supplier I will post it.
The flat leds work as well but I wanted to spread the light a little farther fore and aft.
Others have used the flat panel leds that come with the various socket adapters.

Very taxing day for me today. First I had to cut the grass. Used to take me 30 min. to do but my stamina is gone. It took me 90 min. with breaks, but did it including weed whacking. Then I decided to tackle the install of the fender bracket. I must have sweated ten buckets but after an hour and a half It was all done. It sure helped that AVA supplied a Kawasaki instruction sheet. It looks great, the lights work great, the bike looks $2000 more expensive now. When I can get back into my photobucket account I will post some pictures of the handgrip transplant and the fender bracket. Thanks to all who chimed in on what and how to do it. Now I am pooped. Headed to bed.
