Another stylish ride

Post by trikebldr »

Yep, I would do the rally trip on something like this! Not as fast or comfortable as a 1300 or a XII, but sure would be fun.
Called the Cezeta, from Czechoslovakia in the '60's, 175cc four stroke engine. I had a Lambretta 175cc two stroke, then a later Lambretta 225cc when in high school and I know these things are no slouches on the road. Can pull 60mph all day long.
I knew a guy in school who owned one of these Cezetas but never got to ride it. Not quite as fast as my 175 Lambretta.
I love this rig with the matching trailer!

I wanted a twin 180 SO bad! I almost had my money saved to get a twin-jet 100 when the 180 came out. I couldn't even imagine how fast that bike would have been. Two years later I owned my 350 Yamaha twin.
Ah, such memories! Those were the days! So are these!

I know and if it was that green one then I am the one envious. I had my heart set on the Yamaha 125 street scrambler but when the time came I figured I had to have the YCS1C.

Yes, it was that green one I recently posted. For me it was quite a jump from my 225cc Lambretta scooter and an old Army 45 Harley, to that crotch rocket 350 Yammer. It was also my first brand new bike! And, of course, immediately after, the 500 triple Kwak came out and I wanted one. Then the 750 triple came out and a friend of mine was killed on one of them. it was his first bike ever, and he was just a stupid 19 year old kid, away from home for the first time. Kinda killed the enthusiasm in me. My green 350 became the perfect bike for me after that.

As a side note, here is a pic I have posted before, but it sure goes along with the first post in this thread. here is an Aermachi-licensed bike made by Harley. Sure has some similarities to the Czech-made bike shown earlier! Hmmm, some industrial espionage going on there?

FYI, I saw that bike in person at the Birmingham Bike museum. Same exact color too. If you haven't made a trip there you just gotta go. My wife and I made a pilgrimage there and to the Corvette Museum in Kentucky. It was my last vacation trip. I was in too poor a health at that time (2014) to do all the walking I wanted to do but at least I did get there. I will remember that trip for the rest of my days.

just got back from the barber motorcycle museum in burmingham Alabama, over 1400 motorcycles on display,5 stories of motorcycles!!!you could never imagine there are so many types and brands of motorcycles out there.even if you are not interested in motorcycles,i think you would like this museum. every one of them are in pristine condition!!except for some of the very old Indians.another building is expected to open in october2016. 86,000 sguare feet!!! this would be a good place for the ava to have a rally at.huntsville Alabama rocket and space museum isn't too far away, had a good trip, motorcycle museum is absolutely awesome! a must see for anyone who likes bikes,or doesn't.
