Reverse Trike Available For Our Bikes

This company makes a reverse trike kit that is very nice. Will fit our bike to. Totally different steering & handling compared to Tow Pac & Voyager trikes
They're very close to me, I'll have to go visit them.

Not sure I like the bodywork they're using, but I do like the concept. I'm a big fan of the 2 forward trikes, and wouldn't mid having one if they weren't so expensive.

They are on my radar, permanently, now. We've been talking about trikes for over a year. We realize we will eventually want three wheels, as we get older. We nearly always ride two-up, and our bike is top-heavy, even with an empty trunk -- suspect it's the seat cushions we set on top of the seats, lifting our bodies an inch on each seat. The reverse trike is expensive, but it is cheap compared to buying even a used Spyder! My wife does not like Spyders -- she calls them, "Mutants!" Not sure I can sell her on the reverse trike option, though, either. The lack of a reverse gear is of some concern; however, since we nearly always ride two-up, it would be easy for one of us to push, while the other steers -- should not be an issue.

Spoke with a friend of the family about his Spyder, recently. He asked me if I ever rode a tricycle as a kid? "Yes." Did I ever topple it? "Yes..." The rear trikes would be nearly as unstable as the old tricycle I rode as a child. He also shared with me that many a trike rider has hit the curb with the rear tires, going around corners, as you forget the wheels are there. This is quite dangerous if you have a passenger on board... A friend of his, a veteran rider of many decades, hit a curb with his trike, threw his wife off, and she was killed. After giving it careful thought, I won't ride a rear trike. This one, however, has great potential. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

I think as time goes by riding my Voyager is going to get to the point of being nearly impossible. Unfortunately I don't have the money to spend converting it to a three wheeler as well as having no place to park a three wheeler. I envy you people who have nice large multicar garages. Mine is a single car garage that I can neatly tuck my Voyager in the left corner and still am able to get in and out of my wife's SantaFe without difficulty. I am glad to know such options exist for those of us who can and will convert eventually.

We triked our Voyager 1200 in 2010 and find it to be a very stable machine that has no tendency to tip over like a child's trike. I have taken a few curves at a higher than ideal speed and have never had the feeling that a rear wheel was going to lift off the road. We have ridden about 14,000 miles since the conversion and do not regret it at all. I am going to be 81 the end of this month and Mary Jane , my back seat buddy, is 75 and we would probably not be riding today if we had to stick with two wheels. We were able to go for a 100 mile color tour today to enjoy what will probably the last day for us to get out this year. I had total right knee replacement 6 weeks ago and if we still had only two wheels we probably would not have been able to get out and ride at all. If you keep your head in your ride you know where that rear tire is and do not cut corners short or ride too close to object that will be beside you.
