I contacted Carl Leo on these adapters, as I bought the HF High Position Lift before I knew it needed an adapter. He was out of the adapters. My lift is still waiting to be used. I may hire a welder/machinist to make an adapter for me. Best of luck! Cheers!

I checked with a small father/son welding shop, and with a rough sketch to show them, they said, "...yep, no problem, we got enough scrap over yonder to make one of these." Now-that 'over yonder' talk is a real southern dialect meaning 'over there somewhere.' The scary part is when I asked for an estimate of cost. The guy said, " Oh I don't know, we're kinda slow so we'll take care of you." Could not help but laugh and wonder. Then in southern hospitality he asks me why I would want to ride one of them motorcycles when there are to many crazies out there. What a conversation we had-especially when I mentioned that I run 70+ MPH in a boat. (I probably became 'one of them crazies' at that point). Interesting convo!!

You might could do as you said and check up there with a shop. Guess I will make a trip back to HF and measure the stand so I can get a better drawing. Mine would be just pencil.

Seems like maybe someone on AVA would have access to CAD or Solid Works so we could get one drawn real nice. ANY TAKERS???

I know a number of local machinists who would likely take the job for me. I've had a year of mechanical drafting, back in the early 80's, in High School. I need to make up some mechanical drawings for the adapter I need, so the machinists can make one for me. Now that the weather is warming, I will have to get busy doing it. I'll put it on a computer and create a PDF for it, to share. It will likely be more than a month before I get to it, as I have a number of irons in the fire already. Still, I have had my HF High Position Motorcycle Lift sitting, unused, for more than two years already... I just need to git 'er done! Cheers!

The price on these are (to be polite) high. At least it should give you some idea as to what you need to make your own

Factor in my time to make some drawings, then the time to work with a machinist, and then pay them for their time, and materials... This is a bargain! Did not know they existed. THANK YOU!

I was planning to get a rectangle of plywood, large enough to cover the arms on the Lift, then put a 1"-layer of clay over that. Cover the clay with Armor-All as a mold release, then put two layers of Saran Wrap over the clay. Press this into the the belly of the bike, to get an accurate impression... After that, I would try Durham's Putty, to make a casting of the bike, to take accurate measurements from. Whew! The price seems steep, until you factor in your time, materials, and efforts... Then add in the fees for the machinist. I'd say it is likely a bargain. Cheers!
:woohoo:

EDIT: Ordered a set of these adapters. I'll report back with how they work...

:-( Tried the adapters listed, sold by Redline, sold on Amazon.com, for the HF High Position Motorcycle Lift... They do not work. They cannot extend far enough out, on the arms of the Lift, to avoid the Lift's vertical arm from hitting the driver's foot peg. I tried for more than an hour, to position them properly, but no joy. The quest continues... Cheers!

Hello all from South NJ. If Richard does not want to make these anymore. I will waterjet them out . Need dimensions of the hole locations on the lifts.

Something tells me I'm missing something here, but if that foot peg were not in the way, would those adapters work on your lift then? How hard is the foot peg to remove. On my Voyager 1300 it's just one bolt.

I looked at the foot peg: two bolts holding it in place? Not sure how difficult it will be to remove, but I really don't want to have to remove it every time I want to lift the bike for an oil change, or other service. I'll look at it again, tonight. I really want to use this HF High Position Lift in the worst way... By removing the foot peg, I will only gain 2" (tried rotating it out of the way on its hinge, but this still doesn't gain enough room -- hence the 2", or so, of depth gained by removing the peg; need around 3"-4" more space)? Not sure this is enough clearance to align everything.

Gene K., THANK YOU!!! Not sure I understand what you need, but if you PM me, I can take photo's, a video, or measurements. Whatever you need, I can provide -- I hope. Like I said, I can put together some technical drawings if you need those, as well, with dimensions. Will take some time, but this project has passed the two-year mark already. Cheers!

Here is an update.... I have found both the files sent to me. first file is of the ( Craftsman ) lift directions . Second file is a drawing of the two adapters required. Without having the lift here in the shop I can make no guarantee as too the accuracy of the drawing to fit different manufactures makes and models ,other than the distance between the frame tubes of which I would weld the supports too.

If you wish to continue. Please send a PM with your e-mail address and I will send you a PDF file to view and approve the dimensions shown to adapt too your lift.

or click this link http://tinypic.com/m/jhbpde/3
AS THIS IS A SCREEN SHOT DIRECTLY FROM A CAD PROGRAM, it will not print correctly without using a ton of black ink

I can send you that file directly and you can open it up in Windows paint program for a full screen view to better see the dimensions.

I'm planning to sell my HF High Position M/C Lift, and get their other lift, found here. I know they run a coupon for it, for $279. Just saw this coupon price recently. Probably only offer it for that price, around Christmas. This lift has several reviews posted on YouTube. One fellow has abused his for 4+ years, and he loves it. My brother-in-law has one, picked it up for the low price of $279, as well. He really likes it.

The HF High Position M/C Lift is a nice idea, but it became a money pit for me. The other unit is much bigger, and more money up front, but it will work much better, as well. Best of luck with your search for a lift. Cheers!
