Speedometer... grrr...

Post by SoTexBill »

Well, fixed one problem then this morning on the way in, my speedometer went from 70 to pegged, then fell off to nothing.
Going out on a limb, this thing is cable driven, looks intact on the fork leg... Anything I should know about tearing into the other end?

You could unscrew it at the wheel and pull the cable out of the sleeve and see if it broke or not.

Had not thought of that! Simple check.
Are there fuses involved in this speedo?

Shouldn't, It's a mechanical drive.
