Did you have the miss before? Not easy getting to the coils. You have to remove everything covering the top of the motor. Can't remember if you have to remove the fairing but you will see once you get everything out of the way. You should be able to buy the wire off a roll at any auto parts store. So if you replaced the caps is there a chance that you have the wires mixed up? While you are in there check the condition of your vacuum hoses and radiator hose. Look for cracks, splits, bilges and leaks.

No, bike ran well before. I changed all fluids and battery, so I thought I'd replace the plugs since I was that far. After that I'm getting this little miss and backfireing in first gear. One of the spark plug caps ( # 2) didn't look to good so I replaced them. But still the same, someone said to replace the wires. :help:

... take one of you old spark plugs and use it on the end of all 4 wires, ground the
plug tip and turn it over and make sure all 4 wires are delivering power to the
plugs..... JM2C

Also ....I have tracked down these types of spark loss problems , by running the engine, then shut off the lights in the garage and watch the area around the coils and plug wires etc..... SOMETIMES you just may see spark going to ground before it gets to where it is supposed to be going ! just something else to try..........Tony :-D

:woohoo: Ok, I pulled the new plugs out and found #3 plug that the porcelain around the electrode was loose and dropped down to stop spark.
Thanks
