Break Pads input and comments
I need to replace the Rear break pads and have used EBC in the past. Just wondering any comments about brand or type.

Re: Break Pads input and comments
I usually use the EBC pads, but do not recommend the HH pads for the Voyagers simply because they wear out the rotors much faster. If you ride single especially, you do not need the HH pads. I recommend the semi-sintered. Pure organic pads wear the least on rotors, but give the poorest performance also. If you do ride with someone else on the bike, and you both have more than average weight, then you might want to consider the HH, but just be aware they do wear the rotors much faster as I mentioned.

Thanks for your comments, It was of the same mind set. I would rather replace pads then rotors.

Re: Break Pads input and comments
NorCal Voyagers sell brake pads. We sell Galfer brake pads, these are the new style of Sintered Brake pads. These work and feel like the old style HH EBC pads. But there are improvements in that they work better at lower temps yet remain stable at very high operating temps. But best of all they don't eat rotors like those old HH EBC pads.
I've used these on my Voyager 1700 since I changed the OEM pads at 24,000 miles. I just removed the front tire to mount a new tire and checking the rotors they aren't worn that bad, mileage on the ODO is 120,000 plus. I'm a front brake user I've only changed out my rear brakes once since I got the Voyager, it had 2 miles on the ODO.
I've also used them on my wife's Goldwing Trike. I just replaced the old rotors with the new Galfer Wave Rotors at 160,000 plus miles. She is a heavy front brake user.

Re: Break Pads input and comments
I agree with Don. I really like the Galfer pads. I use them on both my Voyagers. I usually buy at least 3 sets at every rally to make sure I have them on hand for the entire year. I ride both my voyagers hard.
