Light Bar
I have a set of Denalli D2's that I want to install and have been seeing a light bar installed on some bikes just below the head light. Is this available somewhere ?

Re: Light Bar
The light bars I have seen mounted under the headlight of Voyagers were made by the owners. As far as I know there is no manufactured light bars. I mounted mine on the crash bars which provides a very noticeable triangle of light that cars can see for a long way off. Just sayin.

Re: Light Bar
They did make a light bar. It sat between both ends of the front crash bars. Which also help to stiffen the front crash bars. You'll have buy or build a center section to tie both of the front crash bars. Check with the mid Atlantic Voyagers they have two members that make after market bits for the voyager. Also call Carol Leo he should be able to help.

Re: Light Bar
Don the bar you are talking about is still being made and sold. I have seen them new on Ebay and elsewhere but I cannot remember where.

Re: Light Bar
I found an old post that might be of use to you.
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8418&p=63854&hilit=light+bar#p63854
I mounted a pair of Nighlights I got off Amazon.com for about $30 shipped. They are small, extremely bright and being square they seem to match the squarish styling of the bike. They also don't draw any more than 3 amps so they don't stress the alternator.

Re: Light Bar
I have these on my XII and they are bright! Almost the best money I have spent. Best money was the headlight modulator.

Re: Light Bar
Head light modulators should be standard equipment. A must

Thanks, lights are something that I always add for safety. So, the modulator sounds good.

There is a bar for sale in our classified section for $65 that goes between the crashbars.

Re: Light Bar
It's not the Kaw bar, but you can mount lights on it. It goes inside each end of the crash bar. Simple to do

Re: Light Bar
I had put driving lights on under my head light plenty of room and easy access to wiring, while they did help with visibility, as the weather changed so did the pressure in my front shocks, first turn into a parking space at the store , snapped both lights right off. I would suggest mounting them elsewhere.

Re: Light Bar
I have a pair of Cree LED fog lights installed on my bike. I have them installed on the highway bars on my bike. That way They are always in the correct position and I don't have to worry about nose dive on the bike.
I like the look of lights mounted just below the headlight, but where I have mine are more practical and just as easy to wire up.

Re: Light Bar
Thanks, I like the highway bar mounting so I think that is where I will be mounting them.
I see that the highway bar has a flex to it so I image that the bar for sale is to stiffen them up? If that is still for sale once I do a few other things to the bike I may pick it up for the bike.

Re: Light Bar
I went the economical (read, "Cheap!") way, and bought a piece of galvanized steel water pipe, of the proper OD, inserted it between the crash bars, drilled all the way through both pipes, in place, and added a threaded bolt, with a lock-nut, on each side, to secure everything in place. There is at least one topic on this subject which is where I got the info on, "how to". Also mounted some 10W LED's down there. Love 'em!
Bought, and about to install, a 35W LED Headlight bulb, Hi/Lo. Only issue is a modulator for LED's is around $110! My incandescent Modulator is malfunctioning, so it needs to go. Trying to ease the stress on the alternator/battery by reducing Watts drawn. Converted all light to LED's, except the headlight (soon...), and the dash lights.
Good luck with your bike! Cheers!
