I'm in need of a little help...I'm trying to troubleshoot why only 1 of 4 of my speakers work....does anyone have any tips for where I should start? Or what I should check? The right rear speaker works but that's it. Background: I got my voyager about 2 months ago and Pete Franchi just did a top notch job of replacing the LCD screen.
Thanks for your time!

The first place I would look at is the potentiometer that is the volume control for the speakers on the left faring. If it is going bad it wont distribute the audio to all four speakers. You used to could buy new meters at Radio Shack but they are going out of business. If you cant find another unit at someplace like Bikebandit.com I would check used Kawasaki Voyager parts on Ebay. They show up there from time to time.

Re: Need help troubleshooting speakers
There are two glass fuses behind the headlight for the radio. However if you have sound out of one speaker then the radio is working. Another place to check is the wires coming out of the radio. This will probably require you to remove the upper faring on both sides. If you recently had the radio removed you know which wires I am talking about. I suggest cleaning all plug in connections with electrical contact cleaner which you can pick up at any automotive supply. Reconnect after coating the connectors with dielectric grease.

Re: Need help troubleshooting speakers
Thanks so much! After disconnecting and cleaning and reconnecting all connectors and then taking it for a ride I have sound out of all but the left rear speaker which I suspect is broken...it was bouncing around for a bit before I did the speaker mount mod so I plan to rear it apart and see if there are wires I need to resolver or if i need to replace the speaker completely. Thanks for the great advice as always on the forum!
