Direct Lift motorcycle lift table
Just received my long awaited lift table from Derek Weaver,$1080 delivered.700lbs shipping weight.Includes diamond plate construction, drop tailtwo side extensions and full width ramp and wheel vise and moving dolly with steel wheels. It appears to be made in China but it is very heavy duty rugged, well made piece.I researched the handy lift and all the others but this one was the best bang for the buck. Its a behemoth, four feet wide x almost eight feet long.It fits nicely on the garage floor underneath either my volvo wagons or my suburban,so no need to move it around. The side extensions remove easily.I bought it to save my back working on my bikes.I had a minor oil leak at me water pump in the fall but it appears to have been a cold weather issue. The water pump isnt leaking oil now,I have the parts ready for when it reappears

Re: Direct Lift motorcycle lift table
Many stories of these things falling over, bike and all. Maybe add some outriggers when you're using it -- unless that's what the extensions are about?
Given how fast I work (not), any bike on a lift would likely be there up a while.
I plan to build a garage this summer or next. The plan include a stand that's recessed into the floor -- a parallelogram thing that won't tip (pivot pipes bolted to the floor). I also plan an overhead hoist that can straddle it, to deal with the lifting part. I think 24" would be plenty of lift. All y-all will be jealous.

Re: Direct Lift motorcycle lift table
A bike lift looks better every year,as at 68,laying on the floor to do everything I can't on my roller seat,is getting less enjoyable

Re: Direct Lift motorcycle lift table
I have one of these, used with My K1200LT, the most notoriously top heavy bike ever made and over 900 pounds wet.
Tried to push it over, cannot be done inadvertently.
With my Valkyrie Interstate or the 2002 Voyager XII the lift is rock solid stable.
Sure is a great help for an aging back!

Re: Direct Lift motorcycle lift table
I also have a Direct lift table and have owned it about 10 years with no problems. I've had many different types of motorcycles on it including my Voyager and have never been concerned about it falling over. You might be able to make it fall over but I think it would take a couple of people trying to deliberately turn it over.

Re: Direct Lift motorcycle lift table
......Have used M/C air lifts for nearly 40 years now, and have never even come close to seeing one over turn or a bike falling off of one .......a guy would have to "try" to get one to fall off/over. during the winter months, my projects stay in the raised position for months at a time.....no problems ever .
Getting a air lift turns a chore into a pleasure ! ....and cleaning a raised bike,,allows you to do a really good job !..........
