Motorcycle cover

Was wondering what is the best cover for the voyager. What stands up the best to the elements and will stand a strong wind ! Want it to be able to cover bike completely.

I have one I got at Walmart of all places, it's a full cover and works great. It's about 5 years old now and once a year I give it a good spray with a water proofing/repellant just to help keep it dry on the underside. I also have a half cover that I picked up a few years back while attending the Cleveland Progressive International Motorcycle Show, can't remember the brand but I've already replaced the lower grommets where it has straps to tie it down.

Bike came with a cover that works, but doesn't come down far enough. Great tip on spraying the cover. I have tent waterproof spray, but hadn't thought about it on the motorcycle cover! Thanks Scott!

... I think one of the major concerns is the material on the inside, so
it will not scratch your paint on a windy day. I believe brand names
like Dowco have a good rep.... Do NOT have one, will NOT get one,
it was made to get wet.... JM2C

I had noticed that the higher quality ones had a non-scratch lining. Have had the same thought that the Voyager was probably made to get wet! I kinda wanted to keep the sun and dust etc. off too. This is mainly when parked at work. Home has a garage, so no problems there.

Just a word of caution on the strong wind. Ask a few riders that attended the rally a few years back and had the bikes blow over...
the best covers also make the best sails......

Good point ekap1200 !! Hadn't thought about the cover helping the wind to push the bike over! Had wondered if the wind could blow the bike over though.

I have a Kuryakin half cover that my wife picked up at a yard sale for $5. It works great. Hooks under the front fender, covers the windshield, fairing and the trunk. Some of the bags are exposed. The sides cone down in a "V" and have straps that I wrap around the front pegs and hook back to themselves. Have withstood 35 to 40 mph winds without coming off. The bike sits in front of my house all summer long. Haven't had any problems with wind pushing the bike over (Yet) and I've been using it for 2 years now.
