Motorcycle Consignment

Post by aeholton »

Anyone here ever used a motorcycle consignment shop to sell a bike? I have a 2000 Voyager XII at my son's house in Colorado Springs. My son is being transferred to DC and will be selling their house. I'm going there next week and was thinking about taking it up to Motorado to offer it for sale. Anything I should look out for? If it was here in FL, I would throw it up on craigslist and deal with it myself. Besides I already have a 2001 Voyager XII here and don't need two.

.... it's spring, the weather should be nice, take a road trip!!!!
... home, and deal with it there at your leisure...

There are probably other options, but your son is gonna be super busy
and won't have time to muck with it... did I say you get a road trip?

Plan a route and make a great time of it!!! JM2C

Yeah, I thought about riding it back here. Still a possible option. I would need to make room. Have 6 bikes in the garage and my wife complaining about not being able to fit her new car in the garage as it is. Was thinking an all consignment motorcycle seller like Motorado might be an easy stress free option.

I would, if I lived there. My son and his wife have a new baby and they are very busy with their own preparation for move to DC. I don't want to be bothering him with having to show the bike and dealing with meeting people, etc.

Well, I went the easy consignment route. If anyone is looking for a good inexpensive Voyager XII, here it is: http://www.motorado.com/inventory/detai ... do/3914380

I put Progressive HD shocks on the rear before our trip to Yellowstone ~2 years ago when I bought it.

(mods: hope posting the link doesn't violate any terms of use. If so, I apologize.)

Asphalt, the final frontier; these are the treks of the Kawasaki Voyager; its continuing mission to explore strange new roads, to seek out new sites, new bed & breakfasts, to boldly ride where no one has ridden before.
