Re: Driving lights
The NIghlights are easy to install. I ordered my off Amazon and got 2 3/4" black mounting brackets that matched and hold the lights against vibration getting them out of alignments. Very bright little units. You will need a relay. The good part is you don't need heavy gauge wiring. They only draw 3 watts. See where I mounted my switch. Re: Driving lights
I believe you meant the 2 lights draw 3A x 12V = 36W
I just replaced my lights that came with the scoot - and
I learned they were 55W x 2 = 110W / 12V = or 9.16A. The new
lights draw 3A, and I knocked a 6.16A load off my alternator!!!!
AND I got some real bright lights!!!! Good stuff!!!

Re: Driving lights
Yeah you're right, 3 amps. I get my watts and amps reversed sometimes.

Re: Driving lights
I installed a pair of 10W LED's on mine; go with spot's, not flood's, to keep the light forward of the bike. My Voltmeter reads 14 Volts running the highway. I also installed a 40W LED headlight bulb, though, so the load on my alternator is pretty low, overall. I replaced all but the dash lights with LED's. Very happy with the illumination, and the voltage on the electrical system. Cheers!
