Lost left lower air deflector

Post by Mr Jensee »

Was out riding on such a beautiful day. Went to use my left foot to extend my auxiliary foot peg and instead pulled my air deflector off the lower faring. I had to turn around several times and ride slow on a busy highway to find it. And I did but lost all the clips that hold it on. Got home and ordered replacements from Bikebandit.com . I really hate it when this happens. For four of them it will cost me $25. :gmad:

Thanks Cushman.. Just let you know I called in to a local radio talk show the other day and spoke to the host. Told her she was getting the first call in from a guy on a motorcycle. She wanted to know what I was riding. After the call the call screener mentioned he rode a Cushman scooter as a kid and once that happened the calls started coming in discussing Cushman scooters.

Bikebandit.com has finally gotten around to shipping me my wing clips. I used to get parts within a week. I guess those days are long gone.

Yes Mr Jensee those days appear to be gone as you say.
Recently I could order from an internet parts supplier in Georgia and all of the back ordered items would be shipped later under separate cover at their cost.
Well no more; now they hold the entire order until ALL the parts are together and then ship them. It is both frustrating and an inconvenience which delays repairs, because of greed on their part. Not like it used to be.
When I was running a bike shop we would send what we had in stock and any regular part backorders, due to us not having them on hand, would be sent at our cost. That was the cost of doing business and our being out of stock.
Nowadays it appears to be all about the money and to he** with good customer service.
Just my thought,
Dave

Think about it, dealers/part houses aren't going to stock parts for our bike. There's no demand. They have to order from their supplier and wait for them to ship to.
