I use a 55/60 watt headlight bulb.

I also used the NGK Iridium plugs. On the Bulb a Phillips for Motorcycles.

I installed Sylvania Ultra Silver Star bulb, wider, brighter, same wattage as stock
2003 with 87 colors

... read somewhere, oversized bulbs burn everything... wires, sockets, enclosures....
Stick with stock W size, maybe get a whiter bulb? Run some LED running lites
to get more notice?

If you want to be seen instead of trying for a higher wattage headlight bulb, do what I did and mount a set of high power LED driving lights on the crash bars. YOU WILL be noticed.
