New member from Arkansas

Post by Arkvoyager »

I found what I call a 'barn find', 3 years ago, 1986 Voyager XII with 29000 miles on it. Guy owned it for 11 years been sitting for last 4. I changed all fluids, put new brakes and tires on it had seats recovered. We have now put 7,000 miles on it. Have not had any trouble with it, it wants to go, just keep putting gas in it and the miles go by. Had two fairly long trips in the last two months of 900 miles round trip each and bike performed flawlessly. Looking to go to Grand Canyon next year. This is the 3rd touring bike I have owned and I like it the best. Looking forward to this forum for learning more and advice.

Welcome Arkvoyager/Mark!
The only thing I can think of is check the Igniter markings to ensure that you won't have any future problems.
Read through each of the following threads, each reference the 86/87 igniters and issues related to them:
