With 26k on my front Elite 3, I took the plunge and bought the Elite 4. Only bought the front as my back Elite 3 is almost new. And yes it has a center groove.
Only have about 25 miles on it so far today but it handled very well. Of course new tires always handle better.
I had a severe low speed wobble so I put in new front wheel bearings and adjusted the steering bearings at the same time. The wobble is now totally gone.
Now I just need to find some grooved road to see if wants to follow them.
I'll keep you posted.

Wait until summer. There will be a lot of grooved roads. I was trying to get home from the kanab Utah rally traveling on Rt 80 on hundreds of miles of grinding the road. Had center grooved front. Had a real hard time fighting to keep it on the road. Ran into another voyager rider at a gas station. He was having no trouble. Said it was my center grove tire. I ended up getting off 80 and taking country roads. I just got a 130/90B 16 E3 installed. We will see how it handles going to the Moonshine lunch run in April.

I'm a little gun shy of country roads after my deer encounter a few years ago. Highways seem safer for me. Plus I make better time on long trips.
