Rear Wheel Schrader Valve.

The straight Schrader Valve that a PO installed at the last rear tire change is proving to be a real pain in the ass. I can't find a local source that has an air chuck that will fit on the valve as the tip is too close to the hub of the wheel. I'm thinking the valve should be either a lot shorter or have a right angle bend. I've purchased a right angle schrader valve adapter but it didn't last even one use as it broke the first time I put the chuck to it - I need to find a better quality one.

In order to be prepared for the next tire change, I'd like to order a valve that has the right angle bend - does anyone happen to know the size details for the valve I need to order?

You can order brass 90's on Amazon. They work perfect and last. Just screw on to existing valve.

I tried one of those. First application of the air hose broke the adapter in half. In any case, I'm looking for a more permanent solution - a 90 degree valve stem - but they appear to come in different sizes to fit different sized rim holes and I don't know the size of the hole on the kawi rim.

I believe a 90* valve stem from a ZG1200 Voyager, part # 16126-1191will solve your problem.

Edit: Just looked at the parts fiche for the ZG: like the ZN, the wheel valve stems are not shown on the fiche.

Ended up purchasing a 90 degree valve stem for VN1500 (PART# 16126-1191). Can't remember how I figured that out but it's exactly what I needed. It'll be so much more fun being able to put air in my tires I just need to be careful not to break the valve stem off:shock: .
