Successful 6k Trip
Just completed approximately 6000 mile round-trip on the Voyager with zero problems. This thing really was made for the superslab.

Sadly no. Used my phone to take a whack of pictures but when I got back, I found all the picture files were all corrupted and irretrievable - something goofy between my phone, it's 'external' SD card, and syncing with Google account - which was never resolved.
Lesson learned: use a dedicated camera for pictures (I had one with me but the phone just seem so much more convenient as I had it out at every stop anyway).

Re: Successful 6k Trip
CONGRATULATIONS, Sounds like a nice ride, and 0-problems ...... Longest trip I ever went on was 7000 miles out to the Harley Museum and then westward to Devils tower. Before I became a AVA member I would throw a dart at the map on my shop wall and thats where I headed out on my two week , (hall pass ) that my wife gives me every summer . I really do miss just being out on the road by myself.Van Voyager wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 12:42 am Just completed approximately 6000 mile round-trip on the Voyager with zero problems. This has been a great bike , for the past 103,000 miles, only once did it ever fail to preform, upper coolant hose shut me down for a few hours. But that was the only time and an easy on the road repair at the motel next to a AUTO-ZONE. Talk about luck......
What oil were you using for such a trip ? I had used synthetic on trips over 4000 and never had need to do an oil change out on the trip.
1200 asked nothing of me , except for more gas.... Glade you had a great trip with the bike, Hope you have many more...
